Mohammad Rafay Safdar

Mohammad Rafay S. currently serves as the Manager of Drug Product Operations at Halozyme, Inc., since January 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing the transfer and performance of manufacturing techniques, leading process optimization and validation activities at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), and collaborating on product specifications and batch records. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Engineer and various roles at Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services, where Mohammad contributed to the maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and equipment. Early career experiences involved an engineering internship at Kelectric, focusing on operations and maintenance in power generation, and participation in the NUST Formula Student Team, where design improvements were made on a racecar. Mohammad holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA (2021-2023) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (2013-2017).
