Patti McGovern

Patti McGovern is an experienced clinical scientist specializing in early clinical development of small molecules targeting inflammatory and autoimmune pathways. Currently, Patti serves as the Director of Clinical Science at Summit Therapeutics, Inc. and holds the position of Senior Clinical Scientist at Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. since December 2018. Patti's extensive background includes a tenure as a Senior Associate Scientist at Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson, where responsibilities involved developing and optimizing protocols for Phase 0-II clinical trials and identifying biomarkers for patient stratification. Prior experience includes serving as a Clinical Scientist at Xencor, where collaboration with Clinical Operations, Safety, and Translational teams was essential for the management of clinical oncology trials. Patti holds a Master's degree in Clinical Research and a Certificate in Clinical Trials Administration from UC San Diego, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Barbara.
