Alastair Bain

Alastair Bain is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software and firmware development. Currently serving as the Principle Firmware Architect at Halter since December 2018, Alastair has previously held significant roles at Cubic, including Software Team Lead and Principal Software Engineer. Prior to Cubic, Alastair worked as a Senior Software Engineer at PowerbyProxi and spent several years at Cubic Defense Applications in a senior engineering capacity. Early career experience includes a position as a Design Engineer at Fisher and Paykel Healthcare. Alastair holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) 1st Class Honours degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Canterbury, earned between 2000 and 2004.
