Dr. Aisha Al-Qahtani

Research Fellow at Hamad Bin Khalifa University

Dr. Aisha Al-Qahtani has a diverse work experience in the field of research and academia. Dr. Aisha is currently working as a Research Fellow at the Qatar Computing Research Institute since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Hamad Bin Khalifa University from 2015 to 2022, starting as a Research Assistant and then transitioning to the role of Graduate Scholar - Research Associate. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at both the Qatar Computing Research Institute and Hamad Bin Khalifa University from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, they also interned at Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar as a Nationals Program Intern, gaining experience in infectious disease and epidemiology research. Additionally, Dr. Al-Qahtani had internships at Qatar Computing Research Institute, Vodafone, and Texas A&M University at Qatar in 2014 and 2013 respectively.

Dr. Aisha Al-Qahtani's education history begins with their completion of a Diploma in Foundation at the Academic Bridge Program in 2009. From there, they proceeded to earn a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University at Qatar, graduating in 2014. In 2015, they enrolled in Hamad Bin Khalifa University and acquired a Master of Science (MS) with a focus on Biological and Biomedical Sciences in 2017. Dr. Al-Qahtani further pursued their studies in the same field and institution, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree between 2017 and 2022.

Furthermore, in 2021, they obtained a certification in Life-Style Medicine from Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar. Additionally, they completed a certification program called "Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decisions" at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in May 2022.
