Roberto Porter

Roberto Porter has a diverse range of work experience in the hospitality and marketing industries. Roberto started their career in 2007 as a Manager in Training at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Following this, they worked as a Coordinator Ama de Llaves at The St. Regis Mexico City. Roberto then served as the General Manager at Hotel Distrito Capital, where they achieved an 8% increase in Revpar and successfully managed a team of 75 employees. After that, they worked at MIDIOS MEXICO as an International Brand Manager, Customer Service & New Business, where they successfully managed client relationships and increased customer retention by 10% in 2015. Roberto then worked at Dwellworks as a Manager Business Development, focusing on corporate housing options for business travelers and destination services for expatriates. Roberto later joined Monkey Group Mexico as a Director of Marketing and Sales, where they were responsible for marketing and sales strategies for two business units. Roberto also worked at Pozolería Casa Porter as the owner before joining Syngenta as a Digital Advertising & Promotions Coordinator. There, they managed digital and traditional media budgets and led early adoption projects for the LAN region. Most recently, they have been working at Marriott International as a Field Marketing Manager, overseeing the digital marketing portfolio in Los Cabos and Punta de Mita for luxury hotels. Currently, they are the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Hamak Hotels.

Roberto Porter attended Les Roches International School of Hotel Management from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained a Swiss Hotel Association Diploma, specializing in the field of study in Bluche, Switzerland. In 2007, they furthered their education by attending the International College of Hotel Management in Adelaide, Australia, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Hospitality. Additionally, in June 2019, Roberto obtained a Social Marketing Certification from Hootsuite.
