Henrik Stein

Henrik Stein has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of internal auditing in various prestigious organizations. Henrik is currently serving as the Chief Audit Executive at Hamburg Commercial Bank since January 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Group Audit at DZ BANK AG from March 2003 to October 2020.

Henrik Stein has also been actively involved in professional associations and committees. Henrik was a member of the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) Banking Committee from February 2019 to October 2019, and they served as the Chairman of the ECIIA Banking Committee from January 2015 to February 2019. From September 2015 to September 2017, they also held the position of President at ECIIA.

During their career, Henrik Stein worked at Deutsches Institut für Interne Revision e.V., DIIR as the Deputy Spokesperson of the Board from October 2009 to October 2016. Henrik also served as the Country Head Internal Audit Services at Ernst & Young Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft AG, Deutschland from August 2000 to March 2003.

Henrik Stein started their career at Dresdner Bank AG in 1989 as a Credit Analyst and then moved on to become the Internal Audit Head Office, Subsidiaries and Foreign Branches from October 1990 to July 1997. Henrik also held the position of Director Group Corporate Development at Dresdner Bank AG from February 2000 to August 2000. Prior to that, they worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson as the Head of Group Audit from August 1997 to February 2000.
