Claus Ulrich Selbach

Claus Ulrich Selbach has a diverse work experience spanning over four decades. Claus Ulrich'smost recent role is as the Business Unit Director Maritime and Renewable Fairs at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH since June 2014. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director at Hesse/Schrader - Büro für Berufsstrategie GmbH from January 2012 to December 2013. From September 2008 to October 2011, they served as the Sales Director Europe and Latin America at EF Education First, and from January 2006 to August 2008, they were the Country Product Manager Germany at the same company. In 2004, they took a sabbatical and volunteered as an English Teacher at Projects Abroad. Earlier in their career, they worked at kogag - Agentur für Live Kommunikation, first as the Head of Berlin office/Senior Account Manager from January 2002 to September 2004, and then as a Project Manager from July 2000 to December 2001. From May 1997 to July 2000, they were the Project Director at Koelnmesse GmbH. Claus Ulrich Selbach's earliest work experience was at Weingut Selbach-Oster, their family owned wine estate, where they sold wine from 1976 until 1996.

Claus Ulrich Selbach obtained their Master's Degree in Politics, History, and Economics from The University of Bonn between 1989 and 1996. Claus Ulrich also received an Erasmus scholarship for Modern History at Université Paris-Sorbonne from 1992 to 1993. Prior to that, they completed their Abitur at Nikolaus-von-Kues Gymnasium from 1978 to 1988. Additionally, they had a High School education, with a full ride scholarship from the US Congress and Deutscher Bundestag, at Sonoma Valley High School in the USA during 1985 and 1986.
