Daniel Schmitt has a diverse work experience spanning over 22 years. Daniel started their career as an intern at TaunusFilm in Germany in 1999, followed by internships at Partizan Midi Minuit in France in 2001, and Road Movies Filmproduktion in Germany in 2002. In 2003, they joined Screen Digest as a Research Analyst, where they worked until 2006. At AMR International, they served in various roles, including Senior Consultant, Consultant, and Manager, from 2006 to 2014. Since 2014, Daniel has been associated with Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH, where they initially held the position of Director of Business Development and Market Research, before becoming the Business Unit Director for New Brands.

Daniel Schmitt received their B.A. degree in Audiovisual Media Production from Université Toulouse - Jean Jaurès in 2001. Daniel then went on to attend Fachhochschule Wiesbaden, where they completed their degree in Media Business Administration, Dipl.-Medienwirt, in 2003.
