Richard Arena, CSWP, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Richard began their career as a Junior Engineering Intern at Optical Air Data Systems, LLC, where they performed fatigue and environmental testing and analysis. Richard returned to the company as a 2nd year intern, supervising a first-year intern and validating product performance of LIDAR wind sensors. Richard also gained experience at OESH Shoes as a Mechanical Engineer/Machinist Intern, where they learned to operate CNC mills and supervised tooling patterns.

Richard's work experience includes a role as a Design Engineer at Outlier EV, where they were involved in the building of an electric touring motorcycle. Richard also served as a Product Design Consultant and Manufacturer at Pro Racing Skins LLC, where they designed and manufactured custom display stands for Garmin GPS screen protectors.

In addition, Richard worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Spark Product Development LLC, where they collaborated with skilled engineers and developed products from conceptual stages to manufacturing readiness. Richard also served as a Mechanical Engineer at AMF Bakery Systems, where they maintained, improved, and customized automated equipment for bakery clients.

Richard's experience also includes being a Business Owner at Rahrena Studios, LLC, where they created automotive DIY content on YouTube and developed a companion mobile app. Richard also worked as a Machinist's Apprentice at James Madison University, where they learned machining methods and manufactured parts for laboratory use.

Lastly, Richard is currently working as a Technical Designer at Hamilton Beach Brands Inc., where they design detailed parts for manufacturing and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and a positive consumer experience. Richard also has previous experience at the same company as a Product Engineer on the coffee team.

Richard Arena, CSWP, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from James Madison University from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their degree, they have received certifications including the SolidWorks Certified Professional (CSWP) from Dassault Systèmes in January 2016 and the Engineer in Training (EIT) from the Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers and Landscape Architects in July 2013.
