Nicole Nooyen

Nicole Nooyen has a strong background in communication and engagement, starting with their role as a Communications Officer at Matamata-Piako District Council from September 2012 to September 2014. Nicole then worked as a Communications Advisor at Waikato District Council from September 2014 to October 2015. Following this, Nicole served as a Senior Communications Advisor at Waipa District Council from November 2015 to March 2019, where they also acted as the Acting Manager for Communication and Engagement from July 2018 to March 2019. Currently, Nicole holds the position of Head of Communication and Engagement at Hamilton City Council, a role they assumed in June 2021.

Nicole Nooyen attended Sacred Heart Girls College from 2003 to 2007, but did not obtain a specific degree or field of study from the institution. Later, from 2008 to 2011, they pursued a Bachelor of Communications with Honours (First Class) in Marketing and Public Relations at the University of Waikato.
