Sean Hickey

Sean Hickey is an experienced executive with a strong background in strategy, communication, and performance management. Currently serving as the General Manager of Strategy & Communication at Hamilton City Council since January 2016, Sean leads the council's strategic planning and engagement functions. Prior roles include Strategy Manager at Mighty River Power, Head of Performance, Strategy & Customer Experience at New Zealand Post, and various managerial positions at Kiwibank and ANZ, where Sean demonstrated expertise in developing corporate strategies, optimizing performance frameworks, and enhancing customer experiences. Sean holds a Bachelor of Property and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business from the University of Auckland.
