Breckan Duckworth

Breckan Duckworth currently serves as the Executive Director of Opportunity & Gap Closure and has held various educational leadership roles within the Hamilton County Department of Education since July 2018, including Director of Remote Learning and District Middle School ELA Lead. Previous experience includes serving as the Reading Professional Development Supervisor for the Dallas Independent School District, where responsibilities included designing professional development for English and reading teachers. Breckan has also held roles at Uplift Education, Community Charter School of Cambridge, and Clayton County Public Schools, contributing to curriculum development and teacher support. A Harvard Graduate School of Education alum, Breckan holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in English and Classical and Ancient Studies from The University of Alabama.
