Hila Taraky is a business lawyer who carries on a focused practice in corporate transactions, land development, and commercial real estate. Prior to her career as a lawyer, Hila devoted her professional and academic efforts to public policy, immigration policy, newcomer settlement, and the economic integration of immigrants in Canada. She brought her lived experiences to the table while working in government, and the private and not-for-profit sectors. In recent years, Hila served on the HHS's Board of Directors Quality Committee and has been a proud member of the Hamilton Law Association. Hila balances her diverging legal interests by investigating the experiences of visible minorities in Canada. Hila's academic interests have resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications. She completed her undergraduate degree at McMaster University and holds a Master of Arts degree in Immigration and Settlement Studies from Ryerson University. Hila received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2017.
