Alex Baker was appointed as Chief Risk Officer in November 2022.
Alex joined Hamilton in 2016, serving as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Actuary at Hamilton International before being promoted to his Group role.
Prior to joining Hamilton, he was the Chief Actuary of Chubb’s Lloyd’s Managing Agency for three years and prior to that Capital Modelling Actuary for Chubb Europe.
Previously, he spent two years with Chaucer Syndicates as a Capital Modelling Actuary, where his role included service on the Syndicate Managing Boards for two Lloyd’s syndicates. Prior to joining Chaucer, he progressed to Senior Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers for six years.
Alex achieved Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) qualifications from the Institute of Actuaries in 2006 and a Masters in Mathematics from Oxford University in 2002.
