Lauren Cloete

Lauren Cloete is a Partner at Hamilton Locke, having served in various roles within the firm since September 2019, including Special Counsel and Senior Associate. Prior experience includes a position as a Lawyer at Gilbert + Tobin from November 2015 to August 2019, and roles as Senior Associate and Associate at ENS Africa from January 2011 to October 2015. Lauren specializes in debt finance transactions, including asset and vendor finance, corporate lending, leveraged finance transactions, preference share funding, and debt restructurings. Experience encompasses acting for both financial institutions and corporate clients on local and international levels, with involvement in numerous cross-border transactions and due diligence investigations. Lauren holds a BComm LLB degree in Economics and Law from Rhodes University, completed between 2006 and 2010.
