Zina Edwards is the Head of Finance at Hamilton Locke. Zina has over 6 years of experience in advising major banks, financial institutions, corporates and insolvency practitioners on a broad range of financing matters including workouts, restructurings and insolvency.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Zina was a Special Counsel at K&L Gates, where they advised on restructuring, special situations and insolvency. Zina has also worked as a Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills, where they advised on a range of financing matters including workouts, restructurings and insolvency.

Zina’s recent experience includes:

• advising various Goldman Sachs entities in their role as mezzanine lenders to the Nine Entertainment Group in relation to the successful restructuring, through a scheme of arrangement, of over $3.3 billion of senior and mezzanine debt;

• advising several major Australian banks in relation to insolvency and enforcement issues including fraud investigation and recovery strategies; and

• acting for the receivers and managers of several property developments, retail businesses and commercial and agricultural property in Australia.

Zina Edwards has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales. Zina has a background in finance and law.
