David Schwenninger

Teamleader Research at Hamilton Medical

David Schwenninger has a diverse work experience spanning over a period of many years. David began their career as a Praktikant at BAG - BSW Anlagenbau und Ausbildung GmbH in September 2003, and completed their internship in February 2004. David then worked as a Software-Entwickler at BCT Technology AG from February 2004 to August 2005, followed by a role as a Softwareingenieur at Bosch Japan from February 2005 to August 2005. In October 2006, David joined Hochschule Furtwangen as a Research associate, where they worked until July 2007.

David then moved on to Universitätsklinikum Freiburg in March 2008, where they worked as a Scientist. During their time there, they conducted basic research on "protective ventilation" and focused on their doctoral thesis, which involved determining the in-vivo material property of lung tissue in an animal model using endoscopic video microscopy. After completing their thesis, David worked as a postdoc for an additional two years, until April 2013.

In 2013, David joined Hamilton Medical and held multiple roles over the years. From May 2013 to December 2017, they worked as a Research Engineer, focusing on the development of physiological models and construction of physical models and testbenches. Starting in January 2018, David took on the role of Teamleader Research, where they led a team and managed projects related to the research and predevelopment of biomedical device hardware and software, with a particular focus on Physiological Closed-Loop Control. As of now, there is no specified end date for this role at Hamilton Medical.

David Schwenninger has an extensive education history in the field of engineering. David began their academic journey at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) degree in Communications engineering from 2002 to 2006.

After completing their undergraduate studies, David went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical Engineering. David attended Hochschule Furtwangen from 2006 to 2008, during which they gained expertise in this specialized field.

In 2007, David also expanded their academic horizons by attending the University of New Brunswick, where they acquired a second Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering. This experience further contributed to their knowledge and skills in the engineering field.

Determined to enhance their qualifications, David pursued a higher level of education and joined the prestigious Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). From 2008 to 2011, they engaged in advanced studies and research at KIT, ultimately earning a doctoral degree (Dr.-Ing.) in Biomedical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, David has obtained various certifications related to project management. David demonstrated their commitment to professional development and improvement by completing courses such as "Foundations of Project Management," "Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project," "Agile Project Management," "Project Planning: Putting It All Together," and "Project Execution: Running the Project" through the platform Coursera.

Overall, David Schwenninger's education history highlights their significant academic achievements in engineering, particularly in the fields of Communications engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
