In 2008, they enrolled at Florida Atlantic University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Fine and Studio Arts, completing their studies in 2010. Amy also pursued certifications in the healthcare field. In 2011, they obtained their Certified Nursing Assistant certification from Halifax Academy for Caregivers. Additionally, they acquired certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and from the Florida Department of Health.
