Megan Hooper is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and curriculum design. Currently serving as a Middle School Teacher at Hamlin Robinson School since August 2021, Megan instructs courses in 7th and 8th Grade reading, writing, and math, and holds the roles of 8th Grade Advisor and Lead Teacher. Previously, at Mount Alvernia High School from July 2014 to June 2021, Megan was the English Department Chair and designed multiple English courses for grades 7 to 10 while also advising the Newspaper and Yearbook clubs. Prior experience includes teaching at Boston College, where Megan developed Freshman Writing Seminars and courses for English Language Learners, along with roles as an ESL Instructor and Teaching Fellow. Earlier career positions include a Graduate Assistant at Connors Family Learning Center, a Program Director for the College Prep Summer Program, and a Publishing Intern at Boa Editions, Ltd. Megan holds a Master of Arts in English from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts, English Literature and Writing, and Secondary English Education from the State University of New York College at Potsdam.
