Chris Matonovich has extensive experience with the Hammond Police Department, serving as a Detective Sergeant since October 2003 and as a Video Technician since January 2014. In the role of Detective Sergeant, Chris manages investigations and prepares criminal cases for court, focusing on serious offenses such as murder and sexual assault to ensure robust prosecution. As a Video Technician, Chris specializes in digital video recovery, successfully retrieving footage from numerous businesses and residences in Hammond for criminal investigations, and has received training from the FBI and is a current member of the FBI’s Digital Imaging & Video Recovery Team (DIVRT). Chris holds an education from Calumet College of St. Joseph.
