Matthew Zembala

Certified Breath Test Operator at Hammond Police Department

Matthew Zembala has extensive experience in law enforcement, beginning with a role as a 911 Dispatcher at Griffith Police Department from June 2012 to December 2014. Since January 2015, Matthew has served in various capacities at Hammond Police Department, including Certified Breath Test Operator and Field Training Officer for the Civil Response Team, focusing on traffic enforcement and civil unrest management. Additional roles include Honor Guard and Crime Scene Technician, responsible for evidence collection and crime scene processing, as well as Patrol Officer duties, enforcing laws in the City of Hammond. Currently, since July 2021, Matthew holds the position of District Security Officer with the United States Marshals Service, assisting with court security and prisoner management. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management from Indiana University Northwest between 2010 and 2017, following graduation from Highland High School in 2010.
