Michelle Pickett is an experienced professional in dementia care and management, currently serving as the Team Leader for the Implementation Team at HammondCare since February 2020. Michelle has coordinated operations for the Dementia Engagement Modelling Program (DEMP) pilot and now oversees a team of Engagement Consultants and Dementia Support Coaches across Australia. Prior to this role, Michelle contributed as a Dementia Consultant for both the DEMP and the Dementia Behaviour Management Advisory Service (DBMAS), providing support and strategies for staff and caregivers in various care settings. Michelle's background includes managerial positions in recreation and care services at Anson Place Care Centre and Dundurn Place Care Centre, along with leadership roles in other organizations and educational involvement at McMaster University. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health with a focus on Health Leadership and Management at UNSW, Michelle also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology and Health Studies, a diploma in Therapeutic Recreation, and a certificate in Leadership and Management in the Not-For-Profit Sector.
