Chris Sharp

Chris Sharp is an experienced insurance professional with a robust background in underwriting and risk management. Currently serving as an Active Underwriter at Hampden Risk Partners since January 2022, Chris previously held the position of Chief Underwriting Officer at Parhelion Capital Ltd for a brief period in 2021. From February 2014 to July 2021, Chris was the Underwriting Director and Head of Property Reinsurance at Dale Underwriting Partners, focusing on the development of a diverse portfolio in Property per Risk and Catastrophe Excess of Loss Treaty business, among others. Prior experience includes leading the Specialty Reinsurance and Property Reinsurance divisions at ARK Syndicate Management Limited, overseeing a comprehensive reinsurance account, as well as holding an underwriting position at Aspen Re. Educational credentials include an Executive MBA from Bayes Business School, a MA (Hons) in Classics and Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, and a professional qualification (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
