Eric Wedepohl

Eric Wedepohl has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Eric started their career in 2011 as part of the senior management team at GroundProbe. After leaving GroundProbe, they took a two-year sabbatical to travel around Africa and climb Mt Kilimanjaro. In 2013, they joined Ascendent as Principal and Managing Director, providing coaching, strategy, and business development services to startups and SMEs. Eric also worked as a Business Mentor for Remarkable Tech, an accelerator program for people with disabilities, starting in 2020.

Eric Wedepohl has also held business mentor roles at CSIRO, mentoring technology startups through their Accelerator Program and on the Prime Programme. Eric served as a Non-Executive Director (alternate) at Hampr, a digital workflow tools provider for managing office food purchases. Eric also held the position of Non-Executive Director (Chairman) at Sitemate, a project collaboration platform for the construction industry.

Eric Wedepohl has been actively involved in the startup community as an angel investor, mentor, and advisor. Eric has invested and mentored in various startups such as PropellerAero, Australian UAV, Abyss, HiKey, and more. Eric was a Non-Executive Director at My Best Gift from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they worked as an angel investor at Sydney Angels, leading syndicates, conducting due diligence, and taking on mentoring and Non-Executive Director roles. Eric Wedepohl has proven experience and expertise in supporting emerging companies and their investors through Venture Builders.

Eric Wedepohl obtained a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Geophysics from the University of the Witwatersrand, where they studied from 1982 to 1985.
