Jennifer Marvin is an accomplished library and information professional with extensive experience in leadership and strategic management within various institutions. Currently serving as Area Manager (North) for Hampshire Library Service at Hampshire County Council since February 2022, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing libraries in Hart, Rushmoor, and Basingstoke & Deane. Prior roles include Library and Student Hub Manager at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, where Jennifer led library services, managed acquisitions, and oversaw customer service innovations, earning Customer Service Excellence accreditation in 2019. Additional experience includes managing user services at St George's, University of London, and holding the position of Library Support Assistant at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. Jennifer’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Aberystwyth University and a BA (Hons) in Classical Literature and Civilisation from the University of Birmingham.
