Susan Booth, EdS, serves as the Planetarium Facilitator at Hampton City Schools since September 2013. In addition, Susan has been the Executive Director of the Virginia Association of Science Teachers since August 2000, driving the organization’s mission to promote excellence in science education across Virginia. Susan also holds the position of Director at the Virginia Junior Academy of Science, facilitating student engagement through research symposiums. Previous roles include Fundraiser and Grants Writer for the Virginia Space Grant Consortium from August 2015 to July 2017, as well as serving as the VESSS Virtual Master Teacher. Educational qualifications include an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University, a Master of Arts in K-12 Supervision from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mary Washington, with a pending Gifted Certification from Shenandoah University.
