Jared Chalk

Jared Chalk has extensive work experience in business development and economic development. Jared is currently serving as the Chief Business Development Officer at Hampton Roads Alliance since August 2022. Previously, they held the position of Executive Director at the Economic Development Authority of the City of Norfolk from October 2018 to September 2022. Before that, Jared worked at the City of Norfolk, VA, taking on various roles such as Director of Development, Special Assistant to the City Manager, Assistant Director of Development, and Senior Business Development Manager from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Business Development Manager and Quality and Finance Analyst at the City of Norfolk, VA, from 2007 to 2013.

Jared Chalk completed a Certificate in Real Estate Finance & Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration from Bridgewater College in 2005. Their secondary education was obtained at Cape Henry Collegiate before 2001.
