David Nugent

David Nugent is an experienced artistic director and educator in the film industry, currently serving as the Artistic Director of the Hamptons International Film Festival since January 2008, where David directs the programming team and organizes panels. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Programming for the Newport International Film Festival and Program Director at DocuClub, where David managed film programming, screenings, and fundraising efforts. David also contributed to educational institutions, teaching courses on American Independent Film and Documentary Film at The New School, and served as a Teaching Assistant at both Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Television, Radio and Film and Psychology from Syracuse University, as well as a Master of Science in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from Boston University.

Hamptons International Film Festival

The Hamptons International Film Festival was founded to celebrate Independent film – long, short, fiction and documentary – and to introduce a unique and varied spectrum of international films and filmmakers to our audiences. The festival is committed to exhibiting films that express fresh voices and differing global perspectives, with the hope that these programs will enlighten audiences, provide invaluable exposure for filmmakers and present inspired entertainment for all. The 21st Annual Hamptons International Film Festival will take place October 10-14, 2013.
