Tamás Haidegger

Exec. Board member, co-founder at HandInScan

Tamás Haidegger has held a variety of positions in the field of robotics and automation. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Tech Blogger for SurgRob, an Exec. Board Member and co-founder for HandInScan, a Research Area Manager for ACMIT, and an MSZT National Expert for ISO/IEC TC 184/SC 2/JWG 9 and ISO TC 299 IEC SC 62d JWG 35 &36. From 2013 to 2018, they were an Associate Professor and Adjunct Professor at Óbuda University, and from 2015 to 2018, they were an Associate Editor for IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, an Associate Editor for IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, an Associate Vice President of the Industrial Activities Board for IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, and an H2020, FET Evaluator for the European Commission. Since 2018, they have been the Director of the University Research and Innovation Center (EKIK), and in 2022, they will become a Visiting Professor at Queen's University.

Tamás Haidegger began their educational journey in 1993 at ELTE Radnóti. From 2001 to 2009, they attended Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where they earned an MSc in EE and BME. In 2007-2008, they were a visiting scholar at The Johns Hopkins University LCSR.
