Randy Tarnowski

Randy Tarnowski is an experienced research and education economist currently serving as the Director of Research at Handshake. In this role, Randy leads the research agenda, draws insights from a vast network of students and educational institutions, and develops thought leadership reports and data analyses. Prior to this position, Randy was the Director of Research at the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities, where notable contributions included supporting the planning of a longitudinal data system and analyzing data to inform higher education and workforce development in California. Previous experience includes consulting roles with UNICEF and technical support for international education projects with USAID and DFID. Randy's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in International Education Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs/Communication from the University of Tampa.
