Dr. Mark currently holds the position of CTO Filling & Portioning Systems Division at Albert Handtmann Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, starting in May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at SIG Combibloc for over a decade, holding multiple roles including Managing Director, Director of Procurement & Manufacturing, Head of Equipment Supply Chain Management and Procurement Global, Head of Global Operations Projects, and Head of Complaint and Claim Management/Global Quality Management. Before joining SIG Combibloc, Dr. Betzold worked at Werkzeugmaschinenlabor, WZL der RWTH Aachen, where they served as Oberingenieur/Abteilungsleiter Qualitätsmanagement and Gruppenleiter/Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter.
Dr. Mark Betzold pursued their education at RWTH Aachen University, where they earned their Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained their Diploma in Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) in the same field from the same institution, studying there from 1994 to 2001.
