Andrew Thornburg is an experienced educator with a career spanning over two decades in teaching. Currently serving as a teacher at Hanford Joint Union High School District since August 2021, Andrew previously taught at Earl F Johnson High School from August 2001 until September 2022. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Sociology from Southern Utah University, with additional educational qualifications from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

The Hanford Joint Union High School District (HJUHSD) is a 9-12 public school district serving the students and families of the western half of Kings County, California, in the heart of the Central San Joaquin Valley, including the cities of Hanford and Armona. Founded in 1892, HJUHSD today employs about 400 faculty and staff and serves approximately 6,000 students at five schools: Hanford High School, Hanford West High School, Sierra Pacific High School, Earl F. Johnson High School and Hanford Adult School.
