Forrest Chai

Forrest Chai started their work experience as an Information Technology Developer at HSBC in 2000. Forrest then went on to hold various roles within the company, including IT Development Manager, Change Delivery Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Global Programme Manager for Wealth Digital. From 2015 to 2016, Chai served as the Global Head of Retail Brokerage IT, and from 2016 to 2019, they were the Global Head of Engineering for HSBC's Wealth Management capabilities. In 2019, they became the Regional Head of Channels, responsible for managing staff channels platforms and technologies across Asia Pacific for both HSBC and Hang Seng Bank. Most recently, Chai is working as the Chief Information Officer and Managing Director at Hang Seng Bank, starting in 2023.

Forrest Chai has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Auckland, which was obtained in the years 1995 to 1998. Following this, Forrest pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Auckland, completing it from 1998 to 1999. In 2015, Forrest briefly attended Cambridge Judge Business School, although the specific degree and field of study are not provided.
