Ethan Poortenga has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ethan started their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Mojio in 2016, followed by a User Experience Internship at JONEZIE. Ethan then interned as a Business Partnerships Intern at Deutsche Telekom in 2017. In the same year, they became the President of Phi Chi Theta Business Fraternity. Ethan later worked as an Engineering Program Management Intern at Apple in 2019.
In 2018, they founded their own company called ResuMates and served as the Founder until 2020. During this time, they also interned as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon. In 2020, Ethan joined Amazon as a Product Manager and held the position until 2021.
In 2022, they joined Z League as a Product Manager and continued until 2022. Currently, Ethan is a Founding Product Manager at Hang, a company focused on the future of brand loyalty.
Ethan Poortenga's education history begins in 2011 at East Grand Rapids High School, where they attended until 2015. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Computer Science at the University of Michigan from 2015 to 2019. Simultaneously, they also pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business during the same time period.
