Tyler Bandy is the Co-Founder at HangZone. Tyler has over five years of experience in the finance industry. Prior to HangZone, Tyler was a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Dalton Management Partners. There, they made investment decisions for the company's two concentrated value funds and long-short hedge fund. Tyler was also responsible for researching, modeling, and initiating roughly half of the positions in Dalton's portfolios. In January 2011, Tyler was named a Partner at Dalton Management Partners.
Tyler started their career in 2007 as an intern at BNY Mellon in their Wealth Management division. There they analyzed and rebalanced clients' portfolios using a combination of Trust 3000 and Longview. Tyler also designed Excel spreadsheets for clients' accounts to assess the ideal method to raise funds for taxes. In addition, they authored investment policy statements and prepared marketing materials for presentations.
Tyler is a CFA charterholder, passing all three exams on their first attempt. Tyler holds a BA in Economics from Emory University.
Tyler Bandy completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics-Economics and Accounting from Furman University. Tyler also holds a certification from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
