Joschem Padayachee

Joschem Padayachee is an experienced actuarial professional with a strong background in systems leadership, analytics, and product development within the insurance industry. Since April 2017, Joschem serves as the Head of Systems and R&D at Hannover Re, spearheading the strategic evolution of underwriting systems across Africa. Previous roles include Actuarial Data and Analytics Specialist and Actuarial Specialist at Hannover Re, where Joschem modernized analytics processes and conducted experience studies. At Alexander Forbes Insurance Agency Ltd., Joschem was the Actuarial Analytics Lead, managing a team to improve pricing and reserving methods. Additional experience includes managerial and analytical roles at Hollard Insurance, Standard Bank Group, and FNB South Africa. Joschem holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town and is a member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
