Callis W. West, Ed.D., currently serves as Principal at Henrico County Public Schools since July 2015, following a tenure as Assistant Principal from August 2006 to August 2015. Prior experience includes teaching special education at Douglas Freeman High School and Thomas Dale High School, as well as instructing various subjects at Blanford Manor Regional Alternative School. Callis West has a foundation in law enforcement as a former Police Officer with the City of Danville and experience as a Combat Engineer and Warehouse Supply Chief in the United States Marine Corps-Reserves. Educational credentials include a Post Masters Certificate in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Ferrum College.
