Vice President International Markets at Hansa Biopharma

Max Sakajja has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Max began their career in 2003 as a Summer Intern at Handelsbanken. Max then worked as a Consultant at SwedenBIO, where they conducted industry research and data analysis. In 2006, they completed their Master's Thesis at Biovitrum, an international pharmaceutical company. Max then returned to Biovitrum as a Junior Business Analyst, responsible for financial control of the company's R&D pipeline.

Max then joined Sobi - Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ) in 2007, where they held two roles. As a Business Analyst, they supported the CFO and CEO in major transactions and was involved in acquisitions, mergers, and divestments. Max also participated in raising capital and developed financial models for valuation. Max later became the Mergers & Acquisitions Director at Sobi, where they led multiple M&A projects, identified potential acquisition targets, conducted due diligence, and evaluated financial and operational impacts.

In 2013, Max founded Enzymus | Life Science Partners, where they served as a Partner. Max then joined Envirotainer in 2014 as the Global Product and Service Development Manager. In this role, they were responsible for developing and managing global products and services.

Currently, Max Sakajja is working at Hansa Biopharma as the Vice President International Markets, responsible for commercial execution, sales, and shaping the company's commercial strategy in regions outside of the EU and the US. Max was previously the Vice President Corporate Strategy at Hansa, where they were part of the Executive Management Team and focused on corporate development and finance-related projects.

Max Sakajja attended the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2007 and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Molecular Biotechnology. In 2003 to 2005, Max also attended Stockholm University, studying Economics. Additionally, in 2002, Max briefly attended Stanford University for a Global Entrepreneurial Leadership program.
