Valerie Vélez Colón

Valerie Vélez Colón, FMP, is a seasoned project manager specializing in signage, wayfinding, and arts and graphics, currently working at Hansell Tierney since October 2024, following a tenure from August 2022 to May 2024, where contributions were made to the Seattle Children's Hospital Planning, Design and Construction Department. Prior to this role, Valerie held multiple positions at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, culminating as Facilities Operations & Maintenance Program Coordinator Lead II, where effective leadership was demonstrated while managing compliance and safety protocols across facilities. Notably, Valerie has a strong background in facilities management, supported by a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Puerto Rico and a Certificate in Facilities Planning and Management from the University of Washington.
