Brian M. Schnarr

Partner at Hanson Bridgett LLP

Brian is a nationally-recognized and award-winning trial attorney who specializes in high stakes, high profile disputes. His clients range from top ENR-ranked contractors, Fortune 500 businesses, start-up companies, partnerships, founders and entrepreneurs. He has successfully handled claims for delay and disruption, non-payment, failed acquisitions, fraud, trade secret misappropriation, commercial real estate, environmental torts, and product defect.

Brian was selected as a Law 360 Rising Star (Construction), which is a national award profiling top legal talent under the age of 40. He has also been selected as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers Magazine from 2013 through 2022, and is a “Recommended Lawyer” in the Legal 500. Brian’s talents are well-suited to the courtroom, where he has developed a track record of success in front of federal and state juries, judges, and arbitrators throughout the country. One of his first major victories was in 2014, where the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and Public Justice awarded Brian “Trial Lawyer of the Year” for winning a $1.15 billion dollar judgment against manufacturers of lead-based paint – the largest representative public nuisance case in California history. His experience with hot topic matters continued from there, as Brian moved on to prosecute over $1 billion in claims against Bernie Madoff, KPMG, Yahoo!, JP Morgan Chase, Micron Technologies, AECOM, and many others.

Brian is also active in both the firm and his community. He serves on the firm’s Associate Evaluation Committee, is a member of the Corte Madera Flood Control Board, and participates in the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, where he was a long-tenured member of the ABTL Leadership Development Committee. He is also member of the ABA Construction Forum, along with the San Francisco and San Mateo County Bar Associations.

Last, Brian is a proud supporter (and promoter) of the Tipping Point Community, a non-profit organization that fights poverty throughout the Bay Area.
