For 20 years, Hanson House Foundation has been a home away from home for Coachella Valley families supporting loved ones through trauma, cancer, and critical care treatment at local hospitals.

Founded by the late Frank Ercoli, MD, our mission is simple: no family should face the unthinkable alone, or be burdened by the cost of staying close to the people they love. Each year, we provide low or no-cost lodging to more than 4,100 family members, helping them rest, regroup, and be present through every step of their loved one's treatment and recovery.

Our guests have access to a community kitchen, donation-stocked pantry, large dining room, and laundry facilities, all designed to reduce financial stress and create a sense of normalcy during extraordinarily difficult times. Our compassionate volunteer team is the heart of Hanson House, ensuring every guest feels welcomed, supported, and cared for.

We see the impact of family presence on patient health every day. It inspires everything we do.

Hanson House relies entirely on donations, grants, and fundraisers. No one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
