Kipkoech Chepkoit, Ph.D., P.E., is an assistant vice president and the chief geotechnical engineer at Hanson. He joined the company in 2010 and works in the company’s St. Louis regional office.
He has provided geotechnical services for a variety of projects, including improvements at St. Louis Lambert International Airport; an interchange reconstruction at interstates 170 and 270, and the improvement of Missouri 141, both in St. Louis County; Interstate 44 over Route 65 in Springfield, Missouri; the CapX2020 Mississippi River transmission line crossing from Wabasha, Minnesota, to Buffalo, Wisconsin; the Interstate 74 Mississippi River bridge replacement from Moline, Illinois, to Bettendorf, Iowa; the sinkhole repair and runway rehabilitation at Monroe County Airport in Bloomington, Indiana; the Olmsted Locks and Dam replacement in Olmsted, Illinois, for the USACE Louisville District; and Devils Lake city embankments in North Dakota for the USACE St. Paul District. He is the geotechnical reviewer for power transmission and substation projects, wind turbine projects, and railroad projects.
