Patrick Briest

Patrick Briest is currently the Senior Director of IT - Network & Operations at Hapag-Lloyd AG, a position held since January 2020. Prior to this, Patrick served as a Senior Expert in Transport & Logistics Advanced Analytics at McKinsey & Company from January 2012 to December 2019, where roles also included Expert and Specialist in the same domain. Academic experience includes a position as Juniorprofessor at the Heinz Nixdorf Institut, Universität Paderborn, focusing on Algorithms & Complexity from September 2009 to December 2011, as well as postdoctoral research roles at Cornell University and the University of Liverpool. Educational qualifications include a Dr. rer. nat. in Informatik and a Diplom in Informatik, both obtained from TU Dortmund University.
