Fredrik Breitenstein

Fredrik Breitenstein has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Fredrik began their career as a Software Developer at Kaj Arnö Communications, where they developed python tools for geodata analysis and visualization. During this time, they also served as a team leader and gained experience in project management and business development.

In 2015, Fredrik worked as a Code Club Teacher at FÖRBUNDET HEM OCH SKOLA I FINLAND RF, organizing and teaching coding clubs in elementary schools. Fredrik introduced students to computer science and helped them create simple programs using Scratch.

At Åbo Akademi University, Fredrik worked as a Research Assistant on education-focused projects, Digismart and Slöjd 2.0. Fredrik contributed to these projects between April 2015 and July 2016.

In 2017, Fredrik joined Trimble Inc. as a Programmer, Trainee before being promoted to the role of Software Engineer. Fredrik gained skills in front-end web development and successfully upgraded a live core angularjs application to a modern Angular project. Fredrik also automated the development environment and introduced continuous integration with unit and E2E tests.

Fredrik then joined Knome in 2019 as a Team Lead and later transitioned to the role of Engineering Manager. During their time at Knome, they led and managed engineering teams, contributing to the overall success of the company.

Most recently, Fredrik joined Happeo as an Engineering Manager in April 2022, where they currently hold a position.

Fredrik Breitenstein completed their Bachelor of Science (Technology) in Computer Software Engineering from Åbo Akademi University in the years 2011 to 2014. Fredrik then pursued higher education and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university between 2014 and 2018. Additionally, in 2014 and 2015, they also attended Chalmers University of Technology to study Learning and Leadership, although they did not earn a degree in that field.
