Sheraan Amod is a prominent entrepreneur and leader in the technology and healthcare sectors, serving as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RecoMed, South Africa's largest online healthcare booking platform, since November 2013. In addition to this role, Sheraan is a Fellow at Harambeans, supporting African innovation, and serves as Chairman of The Virtual Agent. Previously, Sheraan held the position of Chairman at En-novate, the first global innovation immersion platform in South Africa, and was the Founder of Springlab and Personera, where groundbreaking advancements in social networking and personalized publishing were made. Sheraan's early career includes significant contributions to global internet governance and youth leadership through roles at DiploFoundation and Civic Concepts International. Educationally, Sheraan holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Cape Town, a Master's in Engineering Management from Stellenbosch University, and various leadership certificates, with recent participation in the Archbishop Tutu Leadership Fellowship at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
