Velani Mboweni

Velani Mboweni is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader, currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of LÜLA, which focuses on sustainable commuting solutions in emerging markets. In addition, Mboweni holds the position of Board Member and Director at Wesgro, promoting investment and business facilitation. As an Industry Advisory Board Member for Smart Mobility at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Mboweni contributes to advancing sustainable transportation initiatives. Previous roles include serving as Non-Executive Director at the Metropolitan Trading Company, Co-Founder and Financial Director at Phambili Mzansi, and various fellowships with organizations such as Harambeans and the Kairos Society. Mboweni's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Arts - Honours in Political Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, complemented by a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.
