Mark Segel

Mark Segel currently serves as Managing Director and Co-Head of Asset Management at Harbert Management Corporation, a position held since May 2023, while also acting as a Senior Advisor in Harbert Infrastructure. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Advisor at CPP Investments in the Power & Renewables sector from January 2021 to February 2022, and as a Partner at Stone Capital Partners LLC from November 2018 to October 2020. Mark was a Partner and Co-Head of Ares EIF at Ares Management LLC from December 1999 to December 2017. Additional roles include Vice President of Finance at ABB Energy Capital from 1996 to 1999, Manager of Finance at U.S. Generating Company from 1992 to 1996, Loan Officer at First National Bank of Boston from 1989 to 1992, and Investment Banking Corporate Analyst at Shearson Lehman Hutton Inc. from 1987 to 1989. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Harvard University.
