Jake Schurmeier

Jake Schurmeier is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and treasury operations. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager for the Multi-asset Solutions Team at Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. since October 2021, Jake previously held significant roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where responsibilities included implementing over $1 trillion in Treasury purchases during the Covid-19 pandemic and authoring critical market analysis. Jake's experience at the U.S. Department of the Treasury involved formulating Treasury policy initiatives and preparing speeches for policymakers. Educationally, Jake holds a Master’s degree in Pacific International Affairs with a focus on International Economics and Management from UC San Diego and a BA in Political Science emphasizing International Relations from UC Santa Barbara.
