Anette Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Anette began their career in 1990 as an Assistant to the Chief at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), where they created advertisements and provided support to various clubs on the NATO base. Anette then worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Director at Highland Presbyterian Church Daycare, where they managed records, prepared financial statements, and handled payroll.
Following that, Anette joined Highland Presbyterian Church as a Program and Promotions Secretary, responsible for creating bulletins, maintaining the membership database, and developing advertisements for special programs. Anette then transitioned to the role of Operations Manager at Western Institutional Review Board, managing teams and staff, and overseeing operational responsibilities.
Anette continued their career at Western Institutional Review Board as the Director of Operations, where they were responsible for the management and supervision of assigned teams and staff. Anette then advanced to the role of Vice President of Operations, where they managed six subordinate division managers/supervisors and approximately 125 employees.
Anette'snext role was at Harbor Wholesale Foods, where as an IT Support Manager, they played a crucial role in onboarding large chains such as Subway and Taco Time. Anette also worked as a Project Manager, overseeing various projects for new software and hardware for internal and external customers.
Currently, Anette serves as the Director of the Project Management Office at Harbor Foods Group, where they established and staffed the office and designed processes for the team using Agile WOW. Anette is a professional agile project manager with experience in scrum, waterfall, and agile methodologies.
Throughout their career, Anette has demonstrated their expertise in project management, team leadership, process development, and customer support.
Anette Smith, ACP has an Associates of Arts degree in Data Processing from City College of Chicago - SHAPE, Belgium, which they obtained from 1989 to 1993. Prior to that, they studied Biology and Math as a Math-biology major at Roskilde Katedral Skole from 1986 to 1989. Anette also attended Sct. Josef's skole from 1976 to 1986, but their degree and field of study are unknown. In 2015, they pursued Project Management at South Puget Sound Community College. Anette has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in 2023.
