Amber Elena Barclay

Amber Elena Barclay has a diverse work experience in the insurance and consulting industry. Amber Elena started their career in 2011 at Fortun Insurance as an Auto Specialist & All Lines - Account Manager, where they handled policyholder accounts, provided coverage information, and engaged in cross-selling and marketing efforts. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Wilson, Washburn & Forster as a Personal Lines Account Manager, focusing on servicing, retention, and sales of personal insurance accounts. At NSi Insurance Group, where they worked from 2016 to 2018, they held the role of Account Manager, working on cross-selling and maintaining a personal lines book of business, as well as handling client requests for service.

In 2018, Amber joined Harbor Group Consulting LLC, starting as a Consultant in the Commercial Real Estate Practice. In this role, they provided advisory services to institutional clients specialized in complex commercial real estate transactions. Their responsibilities included risk review of real estate transactions, financial risk management, analyzing insurance coverage, and educating clients and borrowers on risk management. Amber Elena also worked on deal flow management, tracked client status, and ensured compliance with agency management system data standards.

Amber later advanced to Senior Consultant and then Associate Director at Harbor Group Consulting LLC, taking on additional responsibilities such as mentoring new employees, developing the team, and managing client relationships for securitized transactions.

Throughout their career, Amber has demonstrated expertise in insurance, risk management, client relationship management, and program/project management.

Amber Elena Barclay received their General Studies degree from New Orleans - High School in the period from 1999 to 2003. Amber Elena then pursued their interest in Legal Studies and attended the Florida International University - College of Law, where they obtained a Paralegal degree from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their academic achievements, Amber has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2012, they obtained the 4-40 Resident Customer Service Representative certification from the Florida Department of Financial Services. Following this, in 2017, they acquired the 2-20 General Lines Insurance Agent, 6-20 All Lines Adjuster, and National Insurance Producer certifications from the same department. Most recently, in September 2020, they obtained certifications in Exposures and Insurance Coverage as well as Risk Management from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI).
